This course combines classroom instruction and hands on clinical activities to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience. This course covers the clinical instruction portion of the MLA program. Clinical instructions provides hands-on training of the procedures and skills necessary for assisting the physician and working in the lab.
- Practice medical lab assistant skills
- Demonstrate competencies in venipuncture, butterfly, and syringe methods, capillary blood collection, electrocardiography with basic interpretation, and infection control.
This class is a combination of lecture and hands on learning.
